I Love What I Do.
They say “if you love what you do for a living, you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” This is what gets me out of bed in the morning, excited to take on the day: coaching people to be fit and healthy and to feel good about themselves is the most rewarding job in my world.
Growing up, I was picked on and bullied. Martial arts and athletic training became my outlet to combat the emotional stress, but they also helped me grow my self confidence, focus on my health and well-being, and get into great shape.
I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the best fitness coaches in the industry since beginning my career as a personal trainer in 2005. I’m grateful for my time working as a lead trainer at Anytime Fitness, a start-up gym in Brookfield. I cherish the amazing people I met and worked with there, and the opportunity it gave me to define my reputation in our community as someone dedicated to helping everybody achieve their fitness goals.
Flash forward to 2010: I opened a 500 square-foot gym which we mindfully named A Lasting Fitness, in acknowledgement of the fact that fitness is a forever journey, not a destination.
In 2012, client-turned-fitness coach Debra Rydziel joined us to start our small-group training program. She’s a certified fitness and kettlebell coach who helps clients of all ages and abilities to feel empowered, harness their inner strength, and achieve success with their fitness goals. As a female personal trainer, she been able to use her background in dance to help clients perfect their form, technique, and quality of movement.
During the pandemic, we were grateful to have been able to help people continue their fitness goals remotely. Since then, and because of our dedicated clients, we’ve not only been able to survive, but also relocate to a bigger and better facility in Brookfield.
We’re here to help people improve their fitness, lose weight, and build muscle, with a safe and strong foundation both mentally and physically. We focus on Personal Training, Group Fitness Training, Nutrition Coaching, Strength Training, Kettlebell Training, Flexibility Training, Cardio Training, General Health & Wellness and Motivation.
